E.C. Regulator To Join Freshfields

Law360, New York (January 17, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has lured a veteran regulator and former director general for competition with the European Commission to private practice after more than three decades of work in public policy.

Alexander Schaub began his career with the Commission of the European Communities, which preceded the E.C., in 1973. He will join Freshfield’s Brussels office as of counsel on February 1.
