E.ON To Offer Competitors Better Gas Pipeline Access

Law360, New York (May 4, 2010, 3:51 PM EDT) -- German gas provider E.ON AG has agreed to legally binding commitments that will allow competitors better access to pipelines, the European Commission said Tuesday as it wrapped up a related antitrust investigation.

The commitments from the Dusseldorf, Germany-based utility are expected to have a "major structural impact" on the possibility for other companies to compete in the German market, the EC said.
