Janel Atty May Need To Testify In Contract Spat: Judge

Law360, New York (May 4, 2010, 5:45 PM EDT) -- A federal judge is leaning toward disqualifying an attorney for import and export logistics provider Janel World Trade Ltd. in a contract dispute over an asset deal with World Logistics Service Inc., finding that the lawyer could be needed as a witness in the case.

Judge Richard J. Sullivan heard arguments over the disqualification of William Joseph Davis of Scheichet & Davis PC on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and told lawyers that Davis’s testimony appeared “pretty essential”...
