Green Groups Cheer As $520M Ore. LNG Plan Dies

Law360, New York (May 5, 2010, 2:05 PM EDT) -- To the delight of a panoply of environmental activists, a “disappointed” NorthernStar Natural Gas LLC, the would-be developer of the hotly contested Bradwood Landing liquefied natural gas terminal in Clatsop County, Ore., is pulling the plug on the $520 million project.

“The extended delays in the processing of state and federal permits for Bradwood Landing and the difficult investment environment have forced us to suspend development,” NorthernStar Natural Gas President Paul Soanes said Tuesday.
