Gulf Coast AGs Seek Firm Commitment On Oil Cleanup

Law360, New York (May 5, 2010, 6:00 PM EDT) -- Attorneys general from five Gulf Coast states have written to four companies linked to the ongoing Deepwater Horizon oil spill, including BP PLC, asking them to memorialize commitments to fund the massive cleanup effort.

Attorneys general Troy King of Alabama, James Caldwell of Louisiana, Bill McCollum of Florida, Jim Hood of Mississippi and Greg Abbott of Texas sent letters on Wednesday to BP, Transocean Ltd., Halliburton Energy Services Inc. and Cameron International Corp.
