House Urged To Reinstate Broad Duty Suspensions

Law360, New York (May 10, 2010, 5:37 PM EDT) -- Ford Motor Co., 3M Co., Sony Corp., Nike Inc., Target Corp., and more than 100 other companies and business associations are urging U.S. House of Representatives leaders to pass a trade bill that would reinstate hundreds of individual duty suspensions on products and inputs not available in the U.S.

In a letter dated May 5, the companies and groups urged federal lawmakers to pass the Miscellaneous Tariff Bill, saying further delays would “only exacerbate our economic situation” and cost U.S. jobs.
