Fla. Greyhound Track Hit With Tip-Pooling FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (May 10, 2010, 12:59 PM EDT) -- Poker dealers at a southwest Florida greyhound racetrack have filed a collective action alleging their employer violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by forcing them to share their tips with floor supervisors and cashiers.

Three former employees of Southwest Florida Enterprises Inc., which does business as Naples-Fort Myers Greyhound Racing & Poker, filed the suit Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
