Michael Jackson Publicist's $44M Contract Suit Tossed

Law360, New York (May 10, 2010, 12:43 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has thrown out a breach of contract suit brought by a former publicist for Michael Jackson seeking $44 million in damages for work she claims she performed in negotiating, among other things, a deal to release a 25th anniversary edition of the King of Pop's signature “Thriller.”

Plaintiff Raymone K. Bain signed a release that contained a $488,000 payment that precluded her contract claims, Judge James Robertson ruled Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
