GM Asked For Info On Hummer Liquidation In IP Suit

Law360, New York (May 11, 2010, 7:39 PM EDT) -- A judge in a trademark lawsuit General Motors Corp. brought against car kit manufacturer Urban Gorilla LLC has asked the automaker to clarify the relief it is seeking and whether it is liquidating its Hummer brand, saying such a wind-down could affect its ability to enforce the Hummer trademark.

Judge Bruce Jenkins of the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah hinted Monday that the damages GM seeks may only be prospective since the Hummer brand is being liquidated.
