NY Municipality Agrees To Pump $87M Into Sewers

Law360, New York (May 13, 2010, 2:17 PM EDT) -- The city of Oswego, N.Y., has agreed to dish out about $87 million to improve its sewer system, putting an end to long-running problems with unpermitted sewer overflows that violate the Clean Water Act.

The U.S. Department of Justice and the Environmental Protection Agency lodged the consent decree Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York.
