Judge OKs Value City Ch. 11 Liquidation Plan

Law360, New York (May 13, 2010, 3:10 PM EDT) -- A bankruptcy judge on Thursday confirmed a revamped joint plan of liquidation for Value City Holdings Inc. after the only class of creditors qualified to vote on the plan granted it their overwhelming support.

Judge James M. Peck said from the bench in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York that he would approve the plan, an attorney for the debtor said.
