DOC Trims Dumping Rates For Japanese Bearing Cos.

Law360, New York (May 18, 2010, 4:47 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has lowered dumping margins for two Japanese ball bearing exporters following directives by the U.S. Court of International Trade to avoid applying facts-available rates and to adjust methods for calculating freight expenses.

Commerce on Monday assigned Nachi-Fujikoshi Corp. a new margin of 13.91 percent, down from 16.02 percent initially, while NTN Corp. garnered an 8.02 percent margin, down from 9.32 percent, according to the department's final results of redetermination.
