LG, Sony, Others Sued Over Data Storage Patents

Law360, New York (May 18, 2010, 12:43 PM EDT) -- Sony Corp., Panasonic Corp. and LG Electronics Inc. are among three dozen electronics companies that have been accused by VoxPath RS LLC of infringing at least one of two patents related to optical data storage technology.

In a suit filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Austin, Texas-based VoxPath claims that the electronics giants sell optical disc storage and playback systems that infringe either one or both of the two patents-in-suit.
