Dental Group's RICO Action Against Insurers Squashed

Law360, New York (May 18, 2010, 5:19 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has declined to revive the American Dental Association's putative class action against Cigna Corp., MetLife Inc. and other insurers alleging the companies illegally conspired to cut payments to dentists through a variety of inappropriate means, including fraudulent agreements involving code manipulation.
