US Unveils Draft Sanctions Resolution Against Iran

Law360, New York (May 18, 2010, 7:41 PM EDT) -- Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Tuesday that the U.S. had reached an agreement with Russia and China on a draft sanctions resolution aimed at thwarting Iran's nuclear ambitions.

The draft resolution, which was circulated Tuesday to the 15-member U.N. Security Council, has the support of all five members with veto power: the U.S., China, Russia, France and the U.K., Clinton said at a hearing of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.
