NASCAR Driver's Contract Suit Over Drug Test Nixed

Law360, New York (May 20, 2010, 2:41 PM EDT) -- A judge has dismissed a lawsuit brought by a NASCAR driver who was suspended after allegedly testing positive for methamphetamine, finding that he waived his right to pursue breach of contract and other claims as part of becoming a NASCAR driver.

Judge Graham C. Mullen of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina on Tuesday dismissed the suit brought by Jeremy Mayfield and his team Mayfield Motorsports Inc.
