Elpida, Infineon Call Truce In Semiconductor Patent War

Law360, New York (May 20, 2010, 2:45 PM EDT) -- Elpida Memory Inc. and Infineon Technologies AG announced Thursday that they had settled three patent infringement cases filed against one another in federal court and the U.S. International Trade Commission over semiconductor technology.

As part of the settlement, Japan-based Elpida will abandon two patent infringement suits filed in April in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, while Germany-based Infineon and its U.S. subsidiary will drop an infringement complaint against Elpida and several of its customers filed in February in the ITC....
