Filmmaker Gets More Time To Produce Chevron Footage

Law360, New York (May 20, 2010, 4:00 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has given a filmmaker more time to turn over more than 600 hours of raw footage shot for a documentary on the legal battle between Chevron Corp. and native communities in Ecuador while the filmmaker appeals to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Judge Lewis A. Kaplan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled Thursday that filmmaker Joseph Berlinger, producer of the documentary film “Crude,” has until May 31 to turn over the footage....
