Icahn Extends Deadline For Lionsgate Offer

Law360, New York (May 21, 2010, 5:52 PM EDT) -- Billionaire investor Carl C. Icahn said Friday that he had extended the deadline for his unsolicited tender offer to take over Lions Gate Entertainment Corp., and criticized the film company's efforts to block his bid.

Icahn has extended to June 1, 2010, his offer to purchase up to all of the outstanding common shares of Lionsgate for $7 per share in cash, but all other terms of the tender offer remain unchanged.

According to Icahn, 4,660,699 common shares of Lionsgate had been tendered and not withdrawn...
