Cravath Reps Big Blue In $1.4B Cloud Computing Buy

Law360, New York (May 24, 2010, 3:46 PM EDT) -- IBM Corp. and AT&T Inc. said Monday the companies have reached a deal in which Big Blue will buy business networking firm Sterling Commerce from AT&T for about $1.4 billion in cash.

The acquisition of Dublin, Ohio-based Sterling Commerce will expand IBM's ability to help organizations create more dynamic business networks by simplifying and automating the way they connect and communicate with customers, partners and suppliers both on premise and through cloud computing, IBM said.
