Hogan Lovells Boosts UK Salaries

Law360, New York (May 24, 2010, 3:49 PM EDT) -- Hogan Lovells is reportedly restarting lockstep pay and boosting associate salaries in the U.K. on the heels of the recent merger that formed the firm.

Newly qualified lawyers will now take home £60,000 (about $86,600), a slight bump from 2009's adjusted rate of £59,000 (approximately $85,150), U.K. publication Legal Week reported Friday.

The publication reported that those with one year of post-qualification experience — the rough equivalent of third-year associates at U.S. firms — will take home £67,000 (about $96,700), second-year PQE lawyers will make £72,000...
