Talking Head Hits Crist With Copyright Suit Over Ad

Law360, New York (May 25, 2010, 5:31 PM EDT) -- Former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne has accused Florida Gov. Charlie Crist of using the band's 1985 song “Road to Nowhere” in a commercial for his U.S. Senate campaign without permission.

Byrne filed suit against Crist in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida on Monday, alleging the politician and his campaign, Charlie Crist for United States Senate, failed to obtain a license for the use of “Road to Nowhere” in a campaign ad.
