Actavis To Pay $1.2M In Idaho AWP Case

Law360, New York (May 28, 2010, 11:09 AM EDT) -- Two units of Actavis Group will pay Idaho more than $1.2 million to settle claims related to their alleged misreporting of average wholesale prices for prescription drugs, which the state claimed led it to overspend on reimbursements through Medicaid.

On Thursday state Attorney General Lawrence Wasden announced the deal, which awaits approval by the Fourth District Court in Ada County.

The companies, previously known as Alpharma USPD Inc. and Purepac Pharmaceutical Co., admitted no wrongdoing or liability in the agreement.
