Prudential Says Terms Of $35B AIG Deal Could Change

Law360, New York (May 28, 2010, 11:58 AM EDT) -- U.K. insurer Prudential PLC is in talks with American International Group Inc. to potentially alter the terms of its $35.5 billion bid for the company's Asian unit.

In a statement released Friday in response to press speculation that the details of the deal for AIG's AIA Group Ltd. were being reworked, Prudential confirmed that “discussions regarding the current status of the transaction have taken place between Prudential and AIG and are continuing.”
