HP, Dell Face IP Suit Over Random Number Generators

Law360, New York (June 4, 2010, 2:11 PM EDT) -- The Quantum World Corp. has accused Dell Inc., Hewlett-Packard Co. and Acer Inc. of infringing a patent covering true random number generators in computers.

The suit, lodged Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleges that Dell, HP and Acer have committed infringement with respect to products utilizing a true random number generator, including but not limited to computers containing a trusted platform module.
