Dual Leadership Gives Firms A Boost

Law360, New York (June 4, 2010, 6:00 PM EDT) -- Dechert LLP has become the latest firm to adopt a dual-leadership system, a move attorneys and consultants say gives firms a competitive boost by allowing firm leaders to continue to practice and stay connected to the legal marketplace.

Philadelphia-based Dechert announced Thursday that long-time chair Bart Winokur would be replaced by Daniel O'Donnell, who will assume the roles of vice chairman and CEO, and Andrew J. Levander, who will become the firm's next chairman.
