New Class Pushes Gas Royalty Claims Against XTO

Law360, New York (June 7, 2010, 2:41 PM EDT) -- Natural gas royalty owners have relaunched their breach of contract lawsuit against XTO Energy Inc. — this time with new plaintiffs and new counsel — after a previous class was decertified.

The owners opened a new case Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, saying XTO underpaid them by at least $5 million on royalties for some of the 290 gas wells XTO operates throughout Oklahoma and Kansas, according to the complaint.
