US Foundries Urge ITC To Stand Firm On Iron Duties

Law360, New York (June 7, 2010, 4:04 PM EDT) -- U.S. producers of iron construction castings want the federal government to maintain anti-dumping and countervailing duties on the goods from Brazil, Canada and China, arguing that ending the duties would harm domestic manufacturers.

East Jordan Iron Works Inc., Neenah Foundry Co., and U.S. Foundry & Manufacturing Corp. filed a response Wednesday in the U.S. International Trade Commission, saying that failing to keep up the duties would result in a recurrence of material injury to American companies.
