Chinese Chemical Cos. Flay DOC Over Dumping Rates

Law360, New York (June 7, 2010, 4:31 PM EDT) -- Two Chinese importers of a water treatment chemical have blasted the U.S. Department of Commerce for cherry-picking data in order to prevent the companies from avoiding anti-dumping duties.

Responding to Commerce’s remanded recalculation of the anti-dumping margins, Changzhou Wujin Fine Chemical Factory Co. Ltd. and Jiangsu Jianghai Chemical Group Co. Ltd. told the U.S. Court of International Trade on Friday that the agency improperly adopted an anomalous U.S. price that allows it to lower rather than totally wipe out the sanctions.
