Chinese Bauxite Antitrust Suit Stayed For WTO Report

Law360, New York (June 7, 2010, 5:50 PM EDT) -- Resco Products Inc.'s putative price-fixing class action against two Chinese companies has been stayed pending the release of a final report by a World Trade Organization panel examining export restrictions on bauxite and other raw materials.

Judge Joy Flowers Conti of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of California on Friday granted a request by the defendants to stay the action despite the protestations of Pittsburgh-based refractory supplier Resco, which had argued that a stay would prejudice potential class members.
