Crisis Panel Asks What Goldman Has To Hide

Law360, New York (June 7, 2010, 12:15 PM EDT) -- The panel mandated by Congress to investigate the causes of the economic crisis said Monday that Goldman Sachs Group Inc. had handed over millions of useless documents in response to inquiries, raising questions about what the financial giant has to hide.

“We did not ask them to pull up a dump truck to our offices and dump a bunch of rubbish,” said Phil Angelides, chairman of the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission. “We asked them for very specific items.”
