UAW Seeks To Topple NLRB's Brown Ruling

Law360, New York (June 22, 2010, 2:09 PM EDT) -- The United Auto Workers union has filed a challenge that will give the National Labor Relations Board the chance to review a 2004 decision that graduate student assistants have no right to form unions, setting the stage for the board to begin a rollback of several Bush-era precedents.

The Graduate Students Organizing Committee of the UAW on Monday filed a request for review of a June 7 decision by the board's New York Regional Office that denied the GSOC/UAW's petition for an election.
