China Places Dumping Duties On EU X-Ray Machines

Law360, New York (June 9, 2010, 3:58 PM EDT) -- China’s Ministry of Commerce has slapped anti-dumping duties on X-ray security screening machines imported from the European Union after initial findings of an investigation revealed that the equipment is being dumped in China.

In a preliminary ruling Wednesday, MOFCOM said it had decided to require deposits on imports of the products after it found evidence of dumping “which has caused substantial damage to the domestic industry,” according to state-run Chinese news agency Xinhua.
