Sen. Threatens Ban On Chinese Goods Over WTO Pact

Law360, New York (June 9, 2010, 4:37 PM EDT) -- Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., on Wednesday revealed plans to introduce legislation that would bar the U.S. government from purchasing Chinese products until Beijing signs the World Trade Organization agreement on government procurement.

Stabenow said during a hearing before the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission that a group of her colleagues were determined to unveil the proposed legislation in mid-June.
