Stanford Receiver Inks Settlements With Investors

Law360, New York (June 11, 2010, 5:36 PM EDT) -- The court-appointed receiver working to recover funds Stanford International Bank Ltd. allegedly stole from investors in an $8 billion Ponzi scheme has reached several settlements with investors and former employees of bank affiliates.

Receiver Ralph Janvey asked a judge in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas on Thursday to dismiss eight defendants from suits lodged to recover money from Robert Allen Stanford's scheme.
