Foley & Lardner To Open Office In China

Law360, New York (January 29, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Hoping to expand its intellectual property practice to other parts of the world, Foley & Lardner LLP is planning to open an office in China.

The international law firm will file an application in February with the Ministry of Justice of the People’s Republic of China to open an office in Shanghai.

If the application is approved, the new firm will be led by Catherine Sun, who joined Foley on Jan. 11 as a partner after leading Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP’s intellectual property practice in...
