Lucent Ex-VP Fined Over Role In $1.1B Fraud

Law360, New York (June 15, 2010, 7:28 PM EDT) -- A federal court issued a final judgment Tuesday against Alice Leslie Dorn, the former vice president of indirect sales for North America at Lucent Technologies Inc., ordering her to pay a $40,000 civil penalty in connection with the company's $1.1 billion accounting scandal.

At the request of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Dorn will also be permanently enjoined from violating securities laws and will be liable for post-judgment interest under an order issued by the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey....
