Class Cert. Granted In BP Gas Royalty Dispute

Law360, New York (June 16, 2010, 6:03 PM EDT) -- A group of plaintiffs has won class certification in a suit accusing the U.S. arm of energy giant BP PLC of breach of contract for withholding royalties on natural gas sales.

Judge W. Daniel Schneider of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico approved the motion for class certification Tuesday, saying the plaintiffs were “capable of fairly and adequately representing the class.”
