Judge, Parties Seek More Facts In Dreier Deals

Law360, New York (June 16, 2010, 4:47 PM EDT) -- A judge has requested more information before he signs off on a trustees' master settlement agreement in the bankruptcies of disgraced attorney Marc S. Dreier and his defunct law firm as well as a $9 million settlement with Verition Fund Management LLC and affiliates.

U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Stuart M. Bernstein on Wednesday agreed to put off substantive discussions of the settlements until Sheila M. Gowan, a Chapter 11 trustee for Dreier LLP, can be deposed.
