Comcast Asks FCC To Reverse "Fatally Flawed" Ruling

Law360 (January 30, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Comcast Corp. has asked the commissioners of the Federal Communications Commission to exempt the cable company from new regulations regarding set-top boxes, weeks after the agency's "fatally flawed" rejection of the cable company's original application.

In its application for review filed Tuesday, Comcast said a waiver for its set-top boxes would provide a low-cost cable box option that allows consumers to take full advantage of their cable systems.
