Supreme Court Rebuffs Shell Price-Fixing Case

Law360, New York (June 21, 2010, 2:25 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to review the dismissal of a putative class action filed by California gas station owners accusing Shell Oil Co., Chevron Corp. and Saudi Refining Inc. of engaging in a scheme to fix fuel prices for 23,000 U.S. franchise owners.

The high court on Monday denied the petition from the plaintiffs without comment, ending the petitioner's quest for an in depth review of the questions presented by the case.
