Group Says McDonald's Toys Make Kids Eat Poorly

Law360, New York (June 23, 2010, 12:35 PM EDT) -- Consumer rights group the Center for Science in the Public Interest has threatened to sue McDonald’s USA LLC if the fast food giant does not stop marketing toys with its Happy Meals, claiming the toys included in the meals help instill unhealthy eating habits in children.

CPSI sent the letter to McDonalds CEO Jim Skinner and President Jan Fields on Tuesday demanding that the company immediately pull toys from its Happy Meal children’s meals.
