Energy Giants Conspired To Cheat Drivers: Suit

Law360, New York (January 31, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Some of the world’s biggest energy companies face a potential class action by Kentucky residents over claims they shortchanged drivers at gas stations by failing to adhere to the standard gallon of fuel.

The three named plaintiffs, one a Kentucky company which operates a fleet of trucks, claim the energy giants conspired to sell petrol without accounting for fluctuations in temperature which affect the actual amount of fuel in the pump.
