St. Vincent Gets Exclusivity Extension

Law360, New York (February 1, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers narrowly missed losing its exclusive right to file its own Chapter 11 reorganization plan on Wednesday, before the bankruptcy court granted an emergency bridge order extending the deadline to Feb. 9.

Judge Adlai Hardin of the U.S. District Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York said he had determined the course of action based on Saint Vincent’s oral request, which was supported by the official committee of unsecured creditors and the official committee of tort claimants.
