Chevron Hit With Suit Over Gas Leak

Law360, New York (February 1, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Energy giant Chevron was hit with a lawsuit just hours after a gas leak closed a highway and trapped hundreds of Louisianans in their homes on Tuesday.

The complaint was filed on behalf of residents in the Louisiana town of Belle Chasse by the law firm which represented plaintiffs in the Katrina oil spill class action that settled this week for $330 million.
