N.Y. Rep. Calls For SEC/CFTC Collaboration

Law360, New York (February 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- New York Representative Vito Fossella has asked the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodities Future Trading Commission to work together to improve cooperation between the two regulators.

Fossella sent a letter to SEC Chairman Christopher Cox and CFTC Chairman Reuben Jeffrey III asking that the two securities industry watchdogs form a working group to discuss future collaboration and eliminating unnecessary overlap.
