Google Must Make Ad Policies More Objective: France

Law360, New York (June 30, 2010, 12:20 PM EDT) -- France's competition watchdog ordered Google Inc. to make the content policies for its AdWords service more objective and transparent Wednesday after an initial investigation indicated that the current policies discriminate against speed camera database suppliers.

The Autorite de la Concurrence granted the interim measures based on a complaint that French company Navx filed in February, accusing Google of unfairly suspending the company's AdWords account.
