Flight Data IP Suit Against FedEx On Path For Trial

Law360, New York (June 30, 2010, 6:05 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has, for the most part, rejected both parties' motions for summary judgment in a patent suit alleging that FedEx Corp. infringed Harris Corp.'s aircraft flight data communication technology, setting the case on a path for trial.

In an order issued Tuesday, Judge John Antoon II of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida rejected FedEx's anticipation argument, but he said there was a question of fact as to FedEx's argument that the patents were invalid for obviousness.
