Miller To Seek 7-Year Ban On BP Offshore Leases

Law360, New York (July 1, 2010, 3:32 PM EDT) -- Rep. George Miller, D-Calif., is preparing to introduce legislation that would bar oil giant BP PLC and any other company with a pattern of worker and environmental safety violations at its refinery, pipeline and drilling operations from obtaining offshore oil and gas leases for up to seven years.
