Glaxo Seeks Ban on Ranbaxy's Herpes Drug

Law360 (February 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline wants a preliminary injunction banning generic drug manufacturer Ranbaxy Laboratories from launching a version of its herpes treatment in the U.S.

The British drug maker claims the two companies had a prior agreement whereby Glaxo could apply to the court for an injunction order within 45 days of its rival’s winning bid to market its generic equivalent.
